How Do I Make My Eyes Look Bigger?
Your eyes are one of your best features – of course you want to show them off! We’re here to help. Read on to learn how you can make your beautiful eyes pop!
Skin – Reduce any puffiness around your eyes. This can be done with eye creams or by cooling a couple of spoons in your freezer and pressing the backs to your eyelids.
Makeup – Use a concealer to eliminate any darkness or discoloration on the skin as this can draw attention away from your eyes, and even cause them to appear smaller. Pick a color that is a bit lighter than your complexion.
Lashes – Despite what you may have been told, fake lashes can weigh down your eyelids. Instead, take an eyelash curler and apply it at the roots for about twenty-five seconds. Follow up with two or three coats of mascara. We love Beauty Addicts’ Show Off Mascara (it’s formulated with argan oil to condition and protect your lashes).
Eyebrows – To bring greater attention to your eyes, fill your brows with a pencil, moving from the inner corner out in short hairlike strokes.
Eyeshadow – A “cut crease” technique will give the illusion of a larger lid in general and bring forward hooded eyes. Watch a great tutorial by @clowermakeup here:
Pencils – Trace your waterline with a nude or a white pencil. This will both add emphasis to your eyes and make you appear more alert.
Crease – Add definition to the crease of your upper eyelids by using a matte formula. Take a brush and sweep it from your eyes’ outer corners to their centers.
Eyeliner – Trace the base of your upper lashes for gorgeous definition. Try Beauty Addicts’ Effortless Eyes Eyeliner (it comes in five different shades)!
