How to Sweat-Proof Your Makeup
Are the hot summer days making it difficult to keep your makeup in place? We can help! We’ve rounded up a few tips and a routine to help you stay gorgeous during any daytime excursion. Read on or watch the video below…
To keep your makeup in place, you need to remember that the more oily your products are, the easier they will slide around. This is why you want to set your liquid makeup with powder to help it stick to your skin better. There are powders made specifically for covering concealer, but there are ways you can keep other makeup in place as well. For example, to set eye liner, simply apply powder shadow that is the same color as your eye liner.
If you have oily skin, try to avoid runny products. Use an oil-free foundation and switch out your creamy blush for a powder.
Start by washing, toning, and moisturizing your face. Even if you have oily skin, you should be using a moisturizer daily. There are different formulas for different skin types; try Bioelements’ Oxygenation formula which helps unclog pores and provides a healthy-looking glow for your skin.
Next, use a facial spray if desired, then apply a primer to help even out your skin and make your foundation look more natural. Again, use an oil-free foundation if you have oily skin. Follow this up with concealer (apply to dark circles using a sponge). Set your concealer with a powder.
Now, it’s all about details: blend, contour, and apply your blush. When using blush, start from the hairline and work your way forward to give the illusion of a gorgeous summer glow. Finish it all off with a shine spray, lipstick, and lip gloss.
That’s really all there is to it! To see the finished look, watch this video:
