How to Dramatically Shrink Your Pores (3 Steps)
If your pores are beginning to stand out, or just want to make them less noticeable, then you’ve come to the right place! Follow our tips and your pores will look tighter than ever before.
1. Prep Your Skin
After washing your skin, prep it with a moisturizer Intensive Moisture Balance by Dermalogica that is formulated with a chemical exfoliant. This can help shrink your pores and even eliminate acne. You should also be sure to use a primer before applying makeup. This will prevent your product from junking up your pores, as well as help make them appear smaller.
2. Use A Mask 1-2 Times Per Week
One major reason for enlarged pores is when they become junked up with gross materials like dirt, dead skin cells, and makeup. This can easily be remedied by using a clay mask once or twice a week. We love Restorative Clay by Bioelements mask which clears out pores while improving the skin’s texture.
Dead skin cells collect in and around pores, making them appear bigger. By regularly using an exfoliator like Daily Superfoliant by Dermalogica you can keep your pores clean and tight, and your skin bright. However, be careful not to use it more than two or three times per week, less if you have sensitive skin (over-exfoliation can lead to skin irritation and even breakouts).
1. Bonus: Conceal Them
If your pores still aren’t as small as you’d like, you can easily conceal them with a little foundation. Start with primer then work your foundation onto your skin with a makeup sponge to ensure smooth application. To create a dewy look, dampen your makeup sponge first. Finish it all off with a finely milled powder to lock your makeup in. Simple!
